Moonlit Petal Celadon · 月白对盏

Two cups. One quiet conversation across time.

Inspired by the soft moon-white glaze (月白釉) and petal-shaped forms found in historic Chinese ceramics, this pair of celadon cups brings the quiet elegance of Song Dynasty aesthetics into everyday life.

The design draws inspiration from a petal-form moon-white glazed bowl associated with the Jun ware tradition, discovered in Henan. Its gently unfolding silhouette resembles a lotus in bloom — restrained, graceful, and quietly alive.

Reimagined through the serene language of Ru ware-inspired celadon, the pair is finished in a soft sky-blue glaze reminiscent of the poetic phrase:

雨过天青云破处。
The blue of the sky after rain, where the clouds begin to break.

Fine crackle patterns emerge naturally across the glaze, giving each cup its own subtle character. With time and use, these delicate lines may gradually deepen and become more visible — allowing the surface to quietly record the passage of time.

Designed as a pair, the two cups reflect a simple idea:

天青共月白,双盏映春秋。

Two vessels, shared across tea, conversation, and the small rituals of everyday life.

A form inspired by the past, made to become part of the present.

Ancient forms. Modern life.
